True Colors performed by students of American Pacific International School, Cambodia
American Pacific International School first opened in 2008 as American Pacific School and offered English languages courses to its students at our Daun Pehn Campus. Over time the school continued to grow as our reputation for top quality education grew and our student numbers increased. In 2016, the decision was made to further expand the school from only language classes to offering a fully international English speaking school. With this decision came a change in name from American Pacific School, to American Pacific International School. It also came the opening of a second campus at our newly constructed building in Pet Loksang. The school now offers a full-day international curriculum, offering the whole range of subject including math, science, history, geography, music, art, computers and Physical Education – and of course Khmer language and literature. The English classes are taught by specialist teachers, all native English speakers, supported by Khmer staff. In The upcoming 2018/19 academic year the school plans to add Chinese language classes to its curriculum as well, as Chinese language has been identified by stakeholders such as our parents and students as a growing need in Cambodian Society. APIS is accredited through the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport to provide the national curriculum and exams. We also use the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) to meet the needs of our students and to increase their learning opportunities.
