Usually Khmer New Year is a very big event at Asian Hope International School. We were sad to miss the fun this year but here's how some of our students celebrated Khmer New Year at home with their families. The purpose of this Trashion show is to allow students to showcase their creativity and build self-confidence in showing their end product. It also to show to students that they can take part in protecting the environment by using the unused materials, recycled papers, boxes and plastic bags to re-purpose things for new uses, rather than simply throw them away. Those outfits do not need to be perfect. After all, it is about being creative. Trashion encompasses everything from home décor to garments, and public interest in trashion started exploding in the late 1990s, when being environmentally ethical while staying chic started to come into style. Congratulations to the 97 participants on completing the executive program on Leading Digitalization and Transformation of the Cambodian Economy from Stanford Center for Professional Development with the facilitation from the American University of Phnom Penh and funding from Khmer Enterprise. This executive education program aimed to prepare the next generation of Cambodian leaders for the advancement of Cambodia’s digitalization by exposing them to new practices and insights from Stanford University, Silicon Valley, and other cases in Asia. Throughout the five-week program, the participants from both private and public sectors had gained new knowledge on human-centered design thinking, leading innovation in teams, and managing digital transformation within their organization through a series of live webinars, online self-paced courses, and group discussions.
