The IPC unit: “Inventions that Changed the World” Fire is believed to be human's very first invention, but those inventors would have never imagined how it would change and shape the future so greatly. From a wheel to a guillotine, inventions continued to change humanity and permit us the luxuries of that life offers us today. From simple machine to complex apparatus, technology has facilitated seas of change that have ushered in the way we function today. Recently, the exponential growth of technology makes us an interconnected global community. The internet gives people immediate access to information that may have never been available previously. Through the IPC unit “Inventions that Changed the World”, our students explored manners in which the internet has and continues to shape our lives. It also to show to students that they can take part in protecting the environment by using the unused materials, recycled papers, boxes and plastic bags to re-purpose things for new uses, rather than simply throw them away. Those outfits do not need to be perfect. After all, it is about being creative. Congratulations to the 97 participants on completing the executive program on Leading Digitalization and Transformation of the Cambodian Economy from Stanford Center for Professional Development with the facilitation from the American University of Phnom Penh and funding from Khmer Enterprise. This executive education program aimed to prepare the next generation of Cambodian leaders for the advancement of Cambodia’s digitalization by exposing them to new practices and insights from Stanford University, Silicon Valley, and other cases in Asia. Throughout the five-week program, the participants from both private and public sectors had gained new knowledge on human-centered design thinking, leading innovation in teams, and managing digital transformation within their organization through a series of live webinars, online self-paced courses, and group discussions.
